a major award
I just got an email that makes me think fondly to the scene in A Christmas Story where the father wins a 'major award' that turns out to be a lamp in the shape of a leg.
The email states that Savvy Software, Inc has won the 2008 best of Portsmouth award. I wonder how many people in Portsmouth, NH got that same email? The deal is to get us to buy the plaque from them to display how wicked awsome we are. Don't bother. Posted below is the actual email.

I think we should all make a plaque of our own that lookds like that in say Illustrator or PhotoShop, print it off and hang it next to our legitimate accolades in a $5 frame from WalMart. Then post a thank you on our blog with a picture of ourselves standing in front of the plaque or better yet shaking someone's hand as they hand us the plaque. :P You have to make sure everyone knows it's a gag though -- wouldn't want to inadvertently lend legitimacy to their scam.
