A few weeks back I blogged on the idea of our company going to a four day work week.  After some discussions and deliberations we have decided to make the move.

Starting August 1st we will be focused on a Monday - Thursday schedule with someone monitoring the support email on Fridays.

I am pretty darn excited about it.  I am NOT a morning person, however I don't mind getting up earlier if it means having 3 days off in a row.  I do expect there will be times when I need to work the fifth day.  Thats just how life works. :-)

On top of that I do think that it is environmentally a good thing.  Less AC/Heat at the office, 20% less commuting for those that have to drive (I live very close by).

Lately I have SO many projects I want to work on, but by the time I get home I just don't have a lot of interest in sitting in front of my computer and doing code. I do that all day.  So having an extra free day will hopefully give me some time to make those projects happen.  Such as promoting my RIA Cruise.  Did you sign up yet?  You know you want to!
