Want To Replace Feedburner

I have been frustrated with feedburner for a while now.  Not because they don't provide a worthwhile service, they do.  But because there has been next to NO improvement in performance or features in a good long while.  Features I care about anyway, I don't want to embed ads in my feeds.

The reports have always been slow.  Today I noticed that my live stats for my feeds has been at zero for a few days. No traffic for days?  On multiple web sites?  Oh really?   I went to the feedburner forums, but they are 'locked' and have been so for at least a month.

So, time to find some other service.  Anyone familiar with a viable alternative?  Is it something I can just as easily build myself?

The two uses of feedburner for me:

1) Real time stats on who is using my site - that we can do with whosonCFC and other scripts

2) Who is subscribing to RSS feed (general info, not really who) and how many - this we can probably do by monitoring the use of the rss.cfm file and filtering out bots.

One other reason I liked feedburner, it was able to take many formats and badly formatted feeds and clean it up with a universal URL.  If you moved your blog to a new engine, no biggie as everyone subscribed to the feedburner address, not your local one.  That has proven very handy for many people.

I have the same problems and are looking for a better solution or improvements to performance. Right now, I have to first ping Feedburner then wait 5 minutes for it to update and then ping other RSS aggregators that depend upon it... sucks to do it this way.
