Quick Notes
I have been busy the past couple days migrating email over to a new google apps account for everyone here. Been interesting, and as such I had to change my main google IM account. People can now chat with me via jcyr@besavvy.com. Yes, I know bots can find my email, but they already have it and gmail does a good job at filtering. I am not going to hide and obfuscate my email just because other people are shit heads.
In other news:
I am starting to write a new album for RPM challenge. My goal is to do the whole thing with nothing but Rock Band instruments connected to my pc. I will blog more on that later when I have something to listen to posted.
Savvy 4.5 is complete. Just putting the final touches on documentation and video tutorials at this point. I will do a full post about it once the product tutorials are ready.
I am working on an image generator. The basic functions are all done. You can enter text, drag and drop it onto the image, alter fonts and size, color, etc. all in real time preview before making the image. I just need to make it look a lot better and allow people to upload their own photos. I can't decide what to do with the code though. I plan on making a fun site with it, and most people wont care about the code. But for those who may want it what should I do? OS? Its bundled with coldbox, coldspring, various JS libraries. Maybe I just make the source or parts of it available but not supported? The CF side is wicked simple, it's the JS that people would care about and anyone will be able to see that by viewing source anyway. Perhaps I will just do a post on the basics of it, and link to the libraries so people can reproduce if interested.
