CF'rs playing Warcraft
Any of my blog readers play World of Warcraft? I was just commenting on another blog about WOW and started thinking about guilds, long term players, real life friends, etc.
For me playing WOW is more fun when I know the people I am playing with. My wife, my brother, my friends, etc. We have a little guild and it has never grown enough for any viable end game content. None of us are much of raiders (the ones that were have already left), so there isn't a lot of drive to make our guild bigger to participate in the end game content.
What we really need, as my friend John put it, is good casual players who are not "asshats". Just need a handful more so we can run 5 man instances without much planning. Help our Alts along, etc.
So, anyone out there interested and on the Magtheridon server alliance side? I mention CF since I found most of the CF blog community pretty smart and reasonable. Good qualities for a guildie. Plus I already know many of you at least a little bit, which helps. You're much less likely to ninja some leet loot if your party members know who you actually are and can call you out on it outside of Wow. :-)

I have no idea what realm I'm in. That whole part of the setup confused me.
I am more than happy to help you out. There are some tips for first timers that make things much easier.
You need to be on my server for me to totally set you up. :-) Not that you need to need to, but if your interested you should start a character on the Magtheridon Server. Its alliance and east coast PVP server.
Starting a character the first time takes some time, but starting again gets you to lvl 10 in about 2 hours. So if you find Warrior not your style be sure to try out other character types.
So, couple key items:
1) Get bags. Running out of bag space is not fun. Buy them from the Auction House. Or if you meet up with me I can give you some. We can make them and cost us nothing.
2) Get to the main city so you can find the auction house
3) Start a profession by lvl 10. Mining, skinning, blacksmith, etc. If you don't know what to do just get skinning and mining, and sell the stuff you get on the Auction house for good money.
4) Every 2 lvls you can train in new skills from your trainer. Don't forget to do that.
Now, on my server just do /who savage
my main char is named savage, and my guild is benevolent savage. It will show you a list of any of us on. Just chat with someone and say 'hey, I am joshes friend, can I join the guild'. Easy as that. :-)
I always start new professions early, but by lvl 10 for skinning and such at the latest.
For the Horde!
Damn we are geeks.
But, anyways WoW is fun... but man, does it take up time!!
step one: get on pvp server (magtheridon, check)
Step two: watch for opposite faction starting wicked long quest to escort someone.
Step Three: wait for them to be near the end of said quest and in big battle. (escort chicken in tanaris is a good one)
Step Four: Jump in and kill them as quick as possible forcing not only a long ghost run but also a redo of the quest.
Repeat.
Can you tell I have felt that pain many times? :-)
I should note that I don't gank. I have sworn many times revenge, and started a hunter just for that purpose. But I just don't have ganking in me. Maybe thats why I hate STV so much?
I do, though, really enjoy AV. Mass chaos, people yelling at others for not paying attention and fighting in the center, etc. Good stuff.
You missed, call your high level friends..
Have them kill the evil bastards that killed you...
Let them camp them awhile, while you redo your quest...
I actually wanted to get to be high level so I can reap some revenge on lower level horde characters! But, to be honest.. I'm usually too lazy to do so when the time arrives UNLESS I'm with other people.. then we may take time to just kick high level butt!
