I got some spam from sys-con again today. I have tried for months now to get off their damn lists.  At any rate the subject caught my eye.  "ColdFusion 8 is Here".  Thats odd...  so I decide to read the email.

Turns out their mail server probably just sent a big batch of old email since the mail date is October 9th, but the date in the actual email content is August 8th.

Gave me a chuckle for so many reasons. :-)

As for the acutal content... Most of the 'newsletter' is just ads and interviews that are actually advertisments.

Update: seems sys-con published a note about this.  Here is my response.

I have since gotten another email from syscon with the headline: How ColdFusion 8 Can Change Your Profile. I also got a duplicate email regarding the release of CF8. Something is afoot apparently. lol

They must have written all these "newsletters" and someone fat fingered the date to actually send them. Or maybe they're admitting that they're a month behind the rest of the world :)

sys-CON is a perfect name for this company. All they do is con.

Why does a door nail represent anything.

James Hamillton got used by sys-CON to propagate their agenda.
