Spam Stock Motivation Reason Number 2

Many people are theorizing the increase in spam stocks lately. Is it Pump and Dump? Is it to position for Shorting the stock? Is the company doing it, or are they blameless?

I just got this email today. In it they offer to affect stock prices for a fee! This is the first time I have seen the overt offer that is triggering all the spam. Why did they send to me? Who knows. It is an email address unrelated to this blog or my spam stock tracker site.

Update: I just got this email 3 times to 2 different email addresses.

Seems like someone from Africa/Nigeria is doing it. Couple of things caught my eye like - "with whom we can make business together" etc and misspellings "ammount" that sound a whole lot like those scam emails asking for money help.

wait, what? you're assuming that it's from africa/nigeria based on spelling mistakes? does that mean you assume the "scam e-mails asking for money help" are actually from africa?

they often misspell so they can slip through spam filters, which are designed to look for the correct spellings of words.
