UsefulConcept

I found this little illusion on this blog.  It comes from this fun site.  It is interesting in that it proves the old adage that things are not always what they appear.  Or perhaps that they are what they appear till you look at them too closely, then your brain starts messing with you and you no longer know what is real.

Casually look at this animated image.  You will see a ring of pink dots.  One is removed, then the next in order so it seems that a missing dot is rotating around the ring.

Now, stare at the X in the middle.  The missing dot turns green.  Stare at it long enough and the pink dots go away entirely. 

There is no green dot.  The pink ones are alway there.  Pretty nifty.
