lost bags
It was a perfect trip. We got to NYC early. Had good food and drink (and very bad bad food as well) and flew out early. We made it back to boston with 8 minutes to get to the bus to NH. Pow, Boom, there we were. We drop our stuff off for the bus guy, and get on the bus. One hour later we are in Portsmouth, and ready to jump in the car and go home. We made it home by 4:30pm, not 10:30 pm we expected.
But where is my bag? What do you mean I didn't give it to you? What do you mean THERE IS NO BAG?
Yes, my bag was left on the sidewalk in Bostson's airport (Delta Shuttle terminal). Yes the bus driver missed it. Yes we drove off without it. Yes it had my favorite tooth brush. Yes it was a new bag. No, I am not sure if my phone or address were anywhere on it.
To be honest, I am kind of surprised it didn't spark an incident at the airport. I mean, it was left unattended. But I checked the tv stations. (CNN, Drudge, Google, etc) No mention of anyone exploding a suspicious bag. Whew.
I called 3 different companies. Delta (if it is left on the plane). They sent me to TSA (if it is lost in the airport) who sent me to the State Police (if it is left outside). Yes, there are three possible places your bag can go if you loose it at the airport.
Delta answered the call. Hello MR Joshua (yes MR Joshua, he said it many times... very polite). The rest have voicemail. "You have reached blah blah blah. Leave a description of your bag, place and time. IF we have it, we will return your call. ONLY if we have it."
So, now I wait for the call. TSA was very nice in that they called even though they didn't have it. They told me to call the state police. Even gave me the number.
Now, I just sit and stare at the phone. The cell phone that is. I don't have a land line. The cell phone charger is in the bag. Which will happen first - I get my bag, or my phone goes dead?
