Google has been buying more domains lately.  In the past couple days they have purchased googlemagazines.com, googlepapers.org (.com taken) and googlelibrary.org.

Here is a list of many of their other domains.  Good source to see what google may be up to in the future.

A few interesting ones:

googleanswers.com

askgoogle.com

googledesktop.com

googleprint.com

googletv.com  (this one is most exciting to me)

googlewireless.info

googlegalatic.com (and googlesun, moon, stars, etc)

*Googlemotherfucker.com
(from the blog) In case you're wondering, very often a company will own or acquire a domain name to make sure some else doesn't have it (ala [foo]sucks.com). It makes sense. In this case Google acquired this domain on or about 12/25/2004 from its previous owner, a person in Maine, USA.
